Bostonair APAC is looking for Cabin Programmes Manager (Long Haul) for a permanent role based in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and on-time introduction of new cabin equipment and furniture to the operational Cathay fleet. Ensure that product and design requirements fully comply with both business and HK regulatory requirements.

  • Provide robust Investment Committee (IC) costing analysis for programme implementation by compiling accurate cost, labour hour and aircraft input time estimates.

  • Support supplier selection process and contract negotiations in the best interests of Cathay Pacific.

  • Planned, direct and assign Project Managers as required to cabin programmes, ensuring a lean deployment and utilisation of all resources.

  • Manage suppliers to deliver Cathay Pacific programmes to schedule as per specification prior to delivery and meeting their service life.

  • Manage and oversee all cabin activities to support aircraft inductions and retirements.

  • Validate throughout the programme to ensure that Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs) will deliver cost improvements through experience and knowledge gained.

  • Drive cabin seat and monument reliability improvements for future cabin products through cross-functional engagement with key stakeholders and lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • Typically 10 years of experience in cabin engineering and projects.

  • Typically 2 years experience in HKAR-21 Design Organisation.

  • Degree in Engineering / Aerospace discipline.

  • Membership of The Institution of Hong Kong Engineers (HKIE) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience in supervising, managing projects and working with cross-functional teams. Relevant experience in managing complex cabin projects.

  • Proven ability in supplier management and working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs).

  • Excellent leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Strong drive for excellence.

  • Adaptable and responsive to change. Demonstrate ability to drive change. Proven ability to drive and manage multi-skilled teams.
